grinding machine. The new method and work-aid resulted in;
o Increased operator’s efficiency by 15%
o Utilization of space reduced by 40%
o Increased worker’s satisfaction
● Designed new method for small-Parts scrapping. The new method
resulted in;
o Reduction of SAM from 2.16 to 1.75min
o Reduction of required manning by 19%
o No. of operations reduced to ‘2’ from ‘5’
● Established new SOPs for Small-Parts WIP handling in cutting and
Sewing. The outcome of project was;
o Reduction in utilization of WIP-Baskets by 10%
● Designed Layout for Trims-Attachment section. The New Layout
Resulted in;
o Better utilization of space
o Smooth flow of material and operators
o Separate cells were made with respect to type of sundries
and customers which resulted in better utilization of
machines
