With over four decades of diverse leadership experience, Tariq Asmat is a seasoned academic and business consultant, known for driving growth, transformation, and sustainable success across sectors—especially in education.
At IKTAR, Tariq leads our Marketing & Research division, bringing deep insight into strategic planning, higher education marketing, capacity building, and organizational development. His work has helped institutions build high-performing teams, streamline operations, and increase student enrollments through smart, data-driven outreach strategies.
Tariq has played a pivotal role in advancing educational excellence in Pakistan. From boosting admissions in the AIOU MBA program to designing institutional frameworks for Lahore City Education Group, his contributions have consistently delivered measurable impact.
Previously, he served as a consultant for renowned institutions including Lahore City University and Sarwar Institute of Professional Studies, and currently leads MAP Pakistan – Marketing Associates & Professionals, a consultancy firm he founded to empower education sector startups and institutions.
He holds a Master’s in Commerce (Marketing) from the University of the Punjab, and international certifications in Quality Management from AOTS, Osaka, Japan.
